Mission visits made by Harbour Community Church

We have particularly strong links with two churches in Burkina Faso, West Africa, one in Tenkodogo and one in Bobo Dioulasso. We provide financial support for Pastors and church planting as well as social projects.

In 2006 we sent a team to Bobo and were able to be able to help plant a church in the small village of Kelia, the funding for the project coming directly from the church. Since that visit we have been able to provide the funding to build a house for the new Pastor of the church in Kelia.

Late in 2007 a team from the church again visited Burkina Faso to see the needs for ourselves and to provide resources and finances for ongoing projects. At that time we were unable to visit the church at Kelia due to the recent flooding which had yet to subside. We were able to visit the churches in Bobo and Tenkodogo and spend some time with our brothers and sisters there.

At the end of 2008, Dave Truss went to Romania for three months to work with the Caminul Felix organisation and the Isaiah Center of Forget Me Not Ministries. Click here to read what he had to say about his last visit there. He returned there in May 2009, this time for twelve months. Read his latest (February 2010) update. In August, a team from our youth organisation, Urban Saints, went out to work with him for a couple of weeks.

In October 2009, Sue Ambler went to Thailand with OMF. If you wish to support her, you can do so in one of three ways:
  1. Become a Prayer Partner and receive her periodic Prayer News Bulletins;
  2. Make a Donation online;
  3. Regular Giving by Standing Order;
Click on the above links for details from the OMF website of each option (opens in new window).
